Our story

A little piece of Thailand in a Yorkshire market town.

Thai Basil grew from a shared love of good food and the dream of creating a restaurant of our own. After beginning in Shipley, we made our home in Skipton — a beautiful historic town with a character all its own.

Our kitchen brings together Thai experience, carefully chosen ingredients and vegetables sourced locally wherever possible. The result is food that feels generous, vibrant and made for sharing.
